Interview with Georgina Isaac at Flokk

Beeken Reeves's James Garis has partnered with Flokk, one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality workplace furniture in Europe, to support the growth in their UK team. He sits down below with a recent addition to the Flokk team as a Project Manager, Georgina Isaac, to discuss her first months in the company.

Flokk is a family of Scandinavian design-led brands including Offecct, HÅG, RBM, RH, and BMA. Experienced A&D and Project Managers will help boost their presence in the UK. What attracted you to the role at Flokk?

It’s been the easiest start to a company I’ve had and I settled
into the new role very quickly, as my new colleagues have been so welcoming and the morale is high. Every month we arrange an event called Flokk Social where our clients and colleagues get together in the showroom. This has been a great way to meet our clients, but also reconnect with people I’ve met in the industry and let them know where I’ve moved.

How's it been so far, happy with the move?

James knew I was being picky and wanted to wait for the right role. My next move would be to work for a company that not only designs beautiful products but also considers its impact on the environment. I wanted to be part of a great team, with great benefits where I can progress. Flokk ticked all of those boxes and more. I’ve been impressed to learn how sustainable they are, and I’m proud to have joined them.

You have an interesting background, does this help you in your current position?

I’m from a creative fine arts background but have always had a strong interest in design, which is why I decided to move into the industry four years ago. It definitely helps to be surrounded by incredible Offecct products by designers I love, such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Neri&Hu, Jasper Morrison and Luca Nichetto.
